Smith & Farrow is off to a great start at the project's first field review!
As an engineering firm, so much of our work is desktop/computer based. Therefore, it is always rewarding to see a project jump off the page/computer screen during a field review. This is especially satisfying with larger projects, like Smith & Farrow, the beautiful two tower plus townhomes project near Burquitlam Skytrain station. Since these projects are longer spanning and more in depth than a single-family residential project, we get to follow the progress made over time!
On this site visit, Corbally Consulting reviewed the facade structural engineering of the podium curtain wall installation, including stick built frame installation, continuous sill angles, wind load anchors, live load deflection allowance and reinforcement details.
