No late fees here, but this week's Project Spotlight is seriously overdue for some attention.

The new Cameron Community Centre and Library replacement project is officially rewriting the story of civic spaces in northeast Burnaby. Designed as a "pavilion in the park," this massive 213,000 SF facility blends structural steel and 2,351 m³ of mass timber into a stunning, net-zero-targeted facility that features a two-storey 28,000 SF library, a three-storey central atrium, double gymnasiums, and state-of-the-art aquatic center.

On this project, Corbally Consulting is performing the structural design of the exterior curtain wall, interior curtain wall, sliding doors and interior glass guard rails.

Architect: Diamond Schmitt

Primary Structural Engineer: Fast + Epp

Glazing Contractor: Flynn

General Contractor: Graham Construction
